Progress Tank Adds Carbon Steel Front Hoist And Full-Open Rear Door To Product Line

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – March 13, 2015 – Progress Tank, a leading manufacturer and upfitter of truck-mounted tanks used for hauling refined fuel, heating oil, liquid waste, and propane in North America and part of Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: WNC), today announced the addition of the ASME 407/412 carbon steel front hoist and full-open rear door to its vacuum tank product line.

The carbon steel front hoist and full-open rear door, originally developed for Great Lakes Equipment Sales, Inc. in late 2014, was on display at the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show Feb. 17–20.

“We’ve been building aluminum and stainless steel lift door equipment for several years. With the addition of the carbon steel lift door, Progress Tank is able to meet customers’ every need. Equipment is available in ASME, non-code, DOT and TC,” said Matt Decker, business development manager, Progress Tank.

Progress Tank lift door units are built with a specialized corrugated baffle that not only allows for superior product control during transporting but also maximizes solids off-loading capability. The carbon steel front hoist and full-open rear door, used in the environmental and industrial services markets, also includes a dual piston and hinge feature for added durability; a combination of stainless steel and carbon in rear door construction to maximize seal integrity; aluminum trays for corrosion resistance and weight reduction; high mount tail lights for better visibility; and an automatic shut-down system.
