Clean Harbors Recycling Center Achieves Safety Milestone

Marks 300,000 hours without a lost-time incident

Clean Harbors, North America’s leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services, announced in Chicago, Illinois on April 5, 2011, that its Solvent Recycling Center located here has surpassed 300,000 manhours without a U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable or lost-time incident.

This outstanding safety performance represents more than four and a half years of injury-free work by the 32 employees at the site. In achieving this benchmark the Chicago Solvent Recycling Center has also attained a three-year OSHA incident rate of 0.86 versus the industry average rate of 3.70.
